About Me
Talofa lava and warm greetings to you! My name is Andrew Tui and I am a career coach and facilitator based in Auckland, New Zealand. I am of Samoan-Chinese descent and grew up in South Auckland.
I am a Professional Member of the Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ), with more than 12 years experience working with a diverse range of clients in the education and community sectors, as well as managing numerous career services teams. I have worked in organisations including Unitec, The University of Auckland, Media Design School, Otago Polytechnic Auckland International Campus, St Peter’s College and Careers New Zealand.
I completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Employment Relations) and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) at The University of Auckland, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Career Development at AUT University.
I have a passion for supporting others and love using my empathy and creativity to get the best out of people. I use a strengths-based approach in my work, acknowledging the unique context and background of each person I work with. I identify with and support the Rainbow community in Aotearoa.
I am also the creator and host of the Career Coffee Chats podcast, showcasing the career stories of amazing humans from Aotearoa and beyond.
Outside of work, I love supporting the arts and you will happily find me at shows, music gigs and art exhibitions. I also play the ukulele, enjoy the odd game of tennis, and relish spending time with my husband, family and godchildren.
O le ala i le pule o le tautua.
The way to leadership is through service.

Thank you for your help!
Andrew once helped me a few years ago regarding my CV in preparation for a job opportunity in an engineering company.
I’d just like to express my gratitude and appreciation for his time and efforts as I was able to land a graduate role I’m still currently in today.
